Becky trained initially as a graduate Sports Therapist and Personal trainer, leading her to work in professional football with Grays Athletic, Colchester United and West Ham United for 6 years. Following her stint in the pro sporting world she returned to university to further her studies completing a masters degree in physiotherapy and focusing on private practice sports physiotherapy with a big emphasis on sports rehabilitation, post operative rehabilitation and orthopaedics.
Her love for sports and exercise and strength and conditioning on a personal level transfers through to her clients. ‘Movement is medicine’ being her ethos. Promoting healthy lifestyles to clients is a big part of the rehabilitation process.
Becky loves to partake in endurance activities- cycling and running and couples this with regular weight training. giving her a strong understanding of how the human body works, human movement and the importance of resistance training ‘life long’. We all lose muscle mass as we age unless we work against this.
Becky loves to work with people of all different ages each with their own goals- whether that be to recover from a joint replacement or spinal surgery, to learn to walk again or build confidence taking a flight of stairs, to prepare for an endurance event like a marathon or purely to improve posture, body movement or mechanics.
Becky feels treating you as an individual is vital, listening to you and finding out your goals, having in depth conversations and educating you, coupled with a devised programme forwards and some hard work together she will aim to achieve a life without pain or injury for you.
Being a huge people person and loving to meet and work with new people, this is a part of the job Becky relishes. To book an appointment with her please click the link below or give the clinic a call
