My Story
My Story
I have also had my fair share of injuries. Fracturing my collar bone seems to be my favourite, having done it 5 times. Most recently beginning of 2020, alongside 2 ribs, my forearm and a vertebrae in my neck. My interest in human performance, took me to study Sport and Exercise Science at The University of Exeter. It was a great degree with a combination biology, physiology, psychology and biomechanics. I followed this with a Physiotherapy Degree at Cardiff University. Physiotherapy as a career is rewardingly diverse. The course and my subsequent junior positions in Cardiff and Bath, provided a diverse experience. From Neurorehabilitation, clients with head injuries and progressive neurological conditions, Respiratory patients, in intensive care and the community, ward based work, trauma and orthopaedics, pre and post operation and musculosketal departments, and fracture clinics. All of which provided new and valuable experiences, with the common thread of talking, and communicating goals and treatment plans that would fit the individual circumstances.
Jump forwards a few years, and a few courses later. I was then attracted to London by a progressive private practice that was taking on a new team of physios on a training Musculosketal post. 10 of us started and spent 2 years together with a strong educational component, fast tracking my development in this side of work. It was here that I first experienced clinical Pilates. This skill enabled me to take on a post in Australia. I worked in a sports medicine clinic in Mosman, within a great practice.
I returned to London to work in Broadgate, attracted by a previous clinical educator, and the multidisciplinary team. Alongside my work here Elinor and I begun Movement Perfected. Starting the company in 3 Spanish Place. It has been a rewarding experience, and we have met and worked alongside many many interesting people, if you are one of these people or have been involved in my story thank you.

My Approach
Open, honest and practical. Open in that I listen to your story, as within it is the key to our success. Honest, the science that will help you achieve your goals, and the steps that need to be taken. Practical, it needs to fit you. At the beginning I will take a full medical and social history, to pull together all the factors that contribute to your question weather that question be; back pain, sports performance, pathology or a another.
I have a broad base of experience, and have look at problems with a science based approach.
My Collegues
It is a pleasure to work with all of them, and they help me help my clients. All of them have excellent clinical backgrounds and experience. As a team we share research, skills and this last year more that ever has made me realise how important a strong team is.
